Kate Hardcastle on why DELIVER Europe creates conversations that matter

Kate Hardcastle, Customer Expert and Host, The Customer Whisperer

For Kate Hardcastle, known as The Customer Whisperer, DELIVER Europe is about more than bringing people into the same room.

As host and chair of DELIVER Europe 2026, Kate’s role was to connect the energy of the event across the keynote stage, awards and wider audience experience. Her focus was not only on keeping the programme moving, but on helping create an environment where the audience could engage, connect and take real value from the conversations happening around them.

Reflecting on the event, Kate highlighted the strength of DELIVER’s commitment to meaningful dialogue. In her view, the event stands out because it does not only facilitate business conversations. It also creates space for the bigger discussions the industry needs to have about its future.

One of the strongest themes from the keynote stage was honesty. Kate noted that leaders are under pressure to deliver transformation at speed, often across multiple areas at once. Hearing businesses speak openly about evolution, adaptation and the reality of change helped create a sense of reassurance for the audience.

She pointed to sessions from brands including Emma and eBay as examples of leaders acknowledging that transformation is ongoing. There is no fixed end point. Businesses need to keep looking ahead, stay close to the consumer and work collaboratively to respond to what is changing.

For Kate, that is where DELIVER Europe has a clear role to play. It brings leaders together not only to do business, but to recognise that many of the challenges they face are shared. That creates the opportunity for better conversations, stronger collaboration and more practical progress across retail, ecommerce, logistics and supply chain.
