Why Oatly sees supply chain collaboration as essential to sustainability

Erin Augustine, Vice President of Global Sustainability, Oatly

For Erin Augustine, Vice President of Global Sustainability at Oatly, sustainability is a full value chain responsibility.

Speaking at DELIVER Europe 2026, Erin explained that her role covers the entire sustainability agenda, from sourcing oats and making products to packaging, delivery, reporting and engagement with customers and consumers.

That means collaboration across the supply chain is essential. To reduce Oatly’s corporate climate footprint, the business needs to transform how ingredients are grown, how they move into factories, how materials are packed, how products are produced and how they are delivered to customers.

Erin’s keynote focused on transforming the food system and using Oatly’s brand voice as a voice of optimism. As a self-described climate optimist, she spoke about helping people live healthier lives without recklessly taxing the planet’s resources.

She also reflected on the wider DELIVER Europe experience, including the Women in Retail Breakfast and the opportunity to connect with people across the industry. For Erin, the event is valuable both for inspiration and for meeting the collaborators who can help bring the next major sustainability project to life.
